Welcome to ISTAR!

ISTA 10 was initially planned in August 2020 but due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic it has been postponed to August 2021 (dates to be determined). Too bad, we'll have to wait one more year before many of us can meet again. In the mean time, stay safe, keep out of reach of the nasty virus, and let's take advantage of this extra year to do more exciting research on testate amoebae!

ISTA 9 3/4

ISTA 10 was initially planned in August 2020 but due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic it has been postponed to August 2021. Then as the waves continue to come in and travel restrictions remained it was postponed to 2022. But hell this means that a generation of PhD students won't get a chance to interact with colleagues, this can't be ! So we're planning a small informal online meeting to keep us in appetite until the big 2022 Niagara ISTA! The meeting will be organised by the Soil Biodiversity Lab in Neuch√Ętel (Edward Mitchell & testate amoeba worshipers). If you have not heard about this it means you're not in the loop, so send us a message!

ISTA 9 took place in Belfast, Northern Ireland on 10-14 September 2018. Many thanks to Helen Roe & team for organising such a nice meeting.
More info here. See you in 2021 in Canada!

The first ever ISTA in the Southern hemisphere has taken place 12-14 September 2016! To all who came, thank you and see you in 2018!

ISTA 7 was a success! Hope to see you all in ISTA 8!

Robert Booth is leading an effort to disseminate interesting facts and news about testate amoeba research, in a very cool blog. Read it, tweet it, Facebook it! The link is below:
