Hi Qin,
I don't think it's an Assulina. What can you tell about the flexibility of the test? Is it membranous or stiff? The aperture looks rather wide and flexible, resembling a disturbed Cochliopodium. The supposed "scales" could be granular cytoplasm. Just some ideas…

Hi Qin,
Another possible option could be a new Psammonobiotidae genus. Members of this family mostly have vase-shaped tests with a funnel-like aperture. In any case it's puzzling!

Hi Qin,

I agree with most, doesn´t seem to be Assulina to me. I remember Sasha Kudryavtsev showing some images of Microchlamys sp (was not patella) bending, but it was not like this. This seems to make a funnel of sorts (almost like a Vampyrella, but with a shell). If the expanded Himatismenida is a possibility (meaning it encludes Gocevia and Endostelium, this could perhaps fit the diagnosis of Endostelium. I can´t see pseudopods either, this would help…
